Bears reach deal with ex-Rams center Shelton

The Chicago Bears agreed to a one-year contract with center Coleman Shelton, the team announced Thursday.

He becomes the second center added by the Bears this offseason after they acquired Ryan Bates in a trade with the Buffalo Bills on March 4.

The NFL is reviewing whether the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles violated tampering policies during the legal tampering window, a league spokesperson said Thursday.

The Falcons agreed to a contract with four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins shortly after teams were permitted to start negotiating with unrestricted free agents on Monday.

The Eagles also quickly struck a deal with two-time Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley soon after the negotiation period opened at 12 p.m. ET.

Following the addition of Kirk Cousins in Atlanta, Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals for wide receiver Rondale Moore, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.
