Aaron Rodgers plans to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter, ending months of uncertainty around his future and uniting the future Hall of Famer with a team that desperately needs a quarterback.

Rodgers, who has been a free agent since his split with the New York Jets earlier this offseason, plans to fly to Pittsburgh this week and participate in the Steelers mandatory minicamp next week, sources told Schefter.

The NFL took a historic step in May when its 32 owners voted unanimously to allow players to represent their countries in flag football when the sport makes its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028.

The league joined the International Olympic Committee and the International Federation of American Football in celebrating the vote, with all three organizations expressing their collective joy at the prospect of taking flag football “to the next level.”

The Baltimore Ravens have signed wide receiver Rashod Bateman to a three-year, $36.75 million contract extension that includes $20 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Ravens announced Thursday that they had signed Bateman to an extension without disclosing terms.

The new deal comes after Bateman set career highs with 756 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns in 2024, with his scoring total ranking tied for ninth in the NFL among pass catchers.

Derek Carr knew he was in a predicament regarding his shoulder injury and NFL future but said he ultimately decided to retire because he didn’t want to “just take” money from the New Orleans Saints.
