NEW YORK — Brian Flinn has been named the NFL’s senior vice president of global flag football.

Flinn will lead the NFL’s global flag football strategy and execution in this new senior role, driving international expansion, strengthening partnerships and overseeing the growth and development of the game from youth participation through the professional level.

NFL reporter Dianna Russini has resigned from The Athletic less than a week after published photos of her and New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel at an Arizona resort prompted an internal investigation at the New York Times-owned sports outlet.

The New York Post last week published the photos of Vrabel and Russini at the Sedona hotel and said they were taken before the NFL league meeting that began in Phoenix on March 29.

Ginn returns to Aviators sideline after DWI arrest

Ted Ginn Jr. is back with the Columbus Aviators and will coach the UFL team this week after missing one game following his weekend arrest on a DWI charge, the league told ESPN on Tuesday.

Ginn was disciplined by the league after being charged early Saturday in Tarrant County, Texas. He was later released after posting $1,000 bond.

Ginn was replaced on the sideline with offensive coordinator Todd Haley for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Renegades. The Aviators have lost three straight games to start the new season.
