The New York Giants found themselves involved in a bit of non-football-related drama last week, when quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump at a rally for Republican Rep. Mike Lawler. Teammate Abdul Carter was taken aback by Dart’s polarizing decision, and took to social media to criticize his quarterback. 

“Thought this (expletive) was AI,” Carter wrote in a since-deleted post. “What we doing, man?”

Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III has a big opportunity entering the second year of his NFL career to take over a larger role in the team’s offense. The former second-round pick was a rotational player during his rookie season, playing only 40% of the team’s snaps as the Bears used D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze and at times even Olamide Zaccheaus ahead of him. Now, though, Moore has been traded to Buffalo and Zaccheaus has signed with Atlanta, leaving Burden as one of the clear-cut top two receivers heading into the 2026 season.

If we’ve learned one thing this offseason about Kyle Shanahan, it’s that the San Francisco 49ers coach definitely is NOT happy about the fact that his team has to open the 2026 season in Australia for the NFL’s first game ever Down Under.

The 49ers will be the visiting team in Week 1 when they face the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne. The game will kick off at 10:35 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 in Australia, but due to the 14-hour time difference, that will create an 8:35 p.m. ET kickoff on Thursday night in the United States.

With one week left in the UFL 2026 regular season, only one playoff spot is up for grabs between the Louisville Kings and Birmingham Stallions. These teams do not play each other in Week 10 but Birmingham got a win over Louisville in Week 1 in the lone head-to-head matchup between the squads. If the Stallions win on Saturday against the Houston Gamblers, they’d clinch a spot in the UFL playoffs regardless of what Louisville does on Sunday against the Columbus Aviators.
