PHILADELPHIA — The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are releasing six-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

Slay’s release will be designated as a post-June 1 transaction, saving the Eagles $4.3 million against the salary cap.

The Eagles currently have a little over $20 million in cap space. Several key players are set to hit free

PHILADELPHIA — Eagles Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens underwent a back procedure Tuesday in Los Angeles with Dr. Robert Watkins to alleviate nerve pain, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Doctors believe a full recovery is expected by July, in time for training camp.

Jurgens fought through significant back pain during the Eagles’ Super Bowl run.

The New Orleans Saints are expected to hire Doug Nussmeier as their new offensive coordinator, a league source confirmed to ESPN.

Nussmeier has worked alongside new Saints head coach Kellen Moore at a number of stops, most recently in Philadelphia where he served as quarterbacks coach for Jalen Hurts and the Super Bowl champion Eagles.

PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles filled their vacant offensive coordinator job from within, promoting passing game coordinator/associate head coach Kevin Patullo to the post Wednesday.

He’ll replace Kellen Moore, who was hired as the New Orleans Saints‘ head coach shortly after Philadelphia’s Super Bowl LIX win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
