Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver DK Metcalf has requested a trade, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The request came Wednesday after a series of conversations over the past two weeks, the source told Schefter.

Metcalf, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, had 66 catches for 992 yards last season, his sixth with the Seahawks, who selected him in the second round of the 2019 draft.

The Philadelphia Eagles are rewarding Saquon Barkley with a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension that makes him the highest-paid running back in NFL history, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

The deal makes Barkley the NFL’s first $20 million-plus per-year running back.

Barkley, 28, also has the ability to earn an additional $15 million in incentives and escalators. The deal includes $36 million fully guaranteed at signing.

Higgins announced the news Monday by posting on X, “tag.”

The Bengals later announced the move, stating they did so “with the intent of continuing to work toward a long-term deal in Cincinnati” with Higgins.

The Los Angeles Rams and offensive tackle Alaric Jackson have agreed to a three-year, $57 million contract, with $37 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler on Friday.
