The Philadelphia Eagles‘ Super Bowl upset produced a record boon for Nevada sportsbooks.
The state’s sportsbooks won a net $22.1 million on Super Bowl LIX, the most ever according to Nevada Gaming Control. The $22.1 million win tops the $19.7 million the sportsbooks won on Super Bowl XLVIII, when the Seattle Seahawks upset Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
The record haul for Nevada sportsbooks comes despite a significant drop in the amount wagered. Approximately $151.6 million
