The man currently calling the shots for the Cleveland Cavaliers is working under a contract that will expire at the end of the month, which has several higher ups within the organization on edge.

General manager David Griffin’s deal ends on June 30, and with there being no resolution as of yet toward his future, there’s a feeling of unrest with so many important dates approaching.

A source close to Cleveland’s front office described the situation as “insanity” to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Griffin has begun fielding calls from other teams, including one from Indiana Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard concerning All-Star forward Paul George.
